Please read these terms carefully before using Resumi

Welcome to Resumi. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Resumi, a resume building service operated by TANJAKSOFT SOLUTIONS (003791654-D), a business registered in Malaysia.

By creating an account or using our service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. User Accounts

Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • One account per person; multiple accounts may be terminated

3. Services Provided

Resumi provides the following services:

  • Resume building tools with professional templates
  • AI-powered content generation and suggestions
  • ATS (Applicant Tracking System) optimization analysis
  • PDF export and download capabilities
  • Cloud storage for resume data

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time without prior notice.

4. Pricing and Payments

Access Plans

  • FREE: 1 resume, 3 AI credits (one-time), basic template
  • 7-Day Pass: RM 14.90 - 100 AI credits/day, unlimited resumes, all templates, 7 days access
  • Lifetime: RM 79.90 - 200 AI credits/day, unlimited resumes, all features, forever

Payment Terms

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and include applicable taxes
  • Payments are one-time and non-recurring
  • Access begins immediately upon successful payment

Lifetime Plan Terms

The "Lifetime" plan grants a single named individual non-transferable access to Resumi for the lifetime of the product, subject to the following conditions:

  • Personal Use Only: Lifetime plans are for individual, non-commercial, personal use only. Commercial use is strictly prohibited without a separate business license.
  • Non-Transferable: Cannot be sold, transferred, gifted, or assigned to another person
  • Fair Use Applies: Subject to daily AI credit limits (200/day) and fair use policies outlined in Section 11
  • Revocable for Abuse: Lifetime access may be revoked if you violate Terms, engage in commercial use, or abuse the service. No refund will be provided in such cases.
  • Product Lifetime: "Lifetime" means as long as Resumi operates. We reserve the right to discontinue the service with 90 days notice, though we have no current plans to do so.

Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

  • All payment processing and disputes are handled by Stripe in accordance with their Terms of Service
  • TANJAKSOFT SOLUTIONS is not liable for payment failures, declined transactions, or chargeback disputes initiated through your bank or card issuer
  • Filing a chargeback for a valid purchase may result in immediate account termination and legal action to recover costs

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of purchase. Please see our Refund Policy for detailed information.

5. AI Features and Limitations

AI Usage Terms

  • AI-generated content is for assistance only and should be reviewed and customized
  • AI credits reset daily for paid plans (100/day for 7-Day Pass, 200/day for Lifetime)
  • Abuse of AI features may result in account suspension

IMPORTANT AI DISCLAIMERS

  • No Accuracy Guarantee: We do NOT guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content. AI may produce factual errors, outdated information, or irrelevant suggestions.
  • User Responsibility: YOU are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing ALL AI-generated content before using it in your resume. Do not blindly accept AI suggestions.
  • Copyright/Plagiarism: AI may inadvertently generate content similar to copyrighted material. You are responsible for ensuring your resume does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Bias & Discrimination: AI models may exhibit biases. We are not liable if AI generates content that could be perceived as discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate. Always review for cultural sensitivity and appropriateness.
  • Third-Party Processing: AI features are powered by OpenAI. Your prompts are sent to OpenAI API for processing. We are not responsible for OpenAI service interruptions, changes to their API, or their data handling practices.
  • No Hiring Guarantee: Use of AI features does NOT guarantee improved job prospects, interview invitations, or employment. Hiring decisions are made by employers and depend on many factors beyond resume content.

By using our AI features, you acknowledge and accept these limitations and agree that TANJAKSOFT SOLUTIONS bears no liability for any consequences arising from AI-generated content.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content

You retain all rights to the resume content you create. By using our service, you grant us a license to store, display, and process your content solely for providing our services.

Our Content

All templates, designs, software, and other materials provided by Resumi are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our templates or software.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use automated systems to access the service excessively
  • Resell or redistribute our service or content

8. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

Service "As Is"

Resumi is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, we expressly disclaim all warranties including but not limited to:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement of third-party rights
  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content

No Employment Guarantees

We explicitly do NOT guarantee that using our resume builder will result in job offers, interviews, employment, or any specific career outcomes. Employment decisions are made solely by employers based on numerous factors beyond our control. Your resume is a tool to assist you, but success depends on your qualifications, experience, market conditions, and employer preferences.

Maximum Liability Cap

In no event shall TANJAKSOFT SOLUTIONS, its owner, or affiliates be liable for any damages (including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages) arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims shall NOT EXCEED the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim. For FREE users, our maximum liability is RM 50.

Exclusions

We shall not be liable for: (a) loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities; (b) loss of data or information; (c) costs of substitute services; (d) failure to secure employment; (e) personal injury or property damage; or (f) any other indirect or consequential losses, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. User Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TANJAKSOFT SOLUTIONS, its owner, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your resume content, including any false, misleading, or defamatory information you include
  • Your violation of these Terms of Service or any applicable laws
  • Your infringement of any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights
  • Unauthorized use of your account by any third party due to your failure to secure your credentials
  • Any claim that your resume content caused harm to an employer, recruiter, or any third party
  • Misuse of AI features, including submitting inappropriate, illegal, or harmful prompts
  • Your unauthorized Commercial Use of the Service, including providing resume services to third parties without a business license
  • Any claims by your customers, clients, or third parties arising from services you provided using Resumi content
  • Costs we incur to investigate, remediate, or respond to your violation of these Terms, including technical remediation and legal costs

This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of your account and these Terms.

10. Commercial Use and Resale Prohibition

Definition of Commercial Use

"Commercial Use" means using the Service to provide goods or services to third parties for compensation, including but not limited to: generating resumes for clients or customers, operating a resume-writing service, reselling access to our platform, or charging others for services that incorporate content created using Resumi.

Personal Use Only

FREE, 7-Day Pass, and Lifetime plans are strictly for single-user, personal, non-commercial use only. You may NOT:

  • Generate resumes or content for third parties in exchange for payment
  • Use your account to operate a resume writing, consulting, or HR service
  • Share your account or allow multiple individuals to use a single account
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to Resumi
  • Use the Service as part of a business offering to customers or employees

Business/Enterprise Licensing Required

If you wish to use Resumi for commercial purposes, you must contact us at support@resumi.my to obtain a separate Business or Enterprise license with appropriate pricing and terms. Unauthorized commercial use will result in immediate account termination and retroactive billing at commercial rates.

Enforcement and Penalties

If we determine that you have used the Service for Commercial Use without authorization, we reserve the right to:

  • Immediately suspend or terminate your account and revoke all access (including Lifetime benefits)
  • Charge retroactive commercial licensing fees calculated at 10x the Lifetime plan price (RM 799) per account
  • Withhold any refunds and pursue recovery of damages and legal costs
  • Report fraudulent or abusive activity to payment processors and authorities

Non-Transferability

All plans (FREE, 7-Day Pass, Lifetime) are non-transferable, non-assignable, and licensed to a single named individual. You may not sell, gift, transfer, or assign your account to any other person or entity.

11. Fair Use Policy and Rate Limits

To ensure fair access and maintain service quality for all users, we enforce the following usage limits and fair use policies:

AI Credit Limits

  • FREE: 3 AI credits (one-time, lifetime total)
  • 7-Day Pass: 100 AI credits per day (resets daily at midnight MYT)
  • Lifetime: 200 AI credits per day (resets daily at midnight MYT)

AI credits are used for: content generation, resume optimization suggestions, ATS scoring, and AI-powered features. Unused credits do NOT roll over to the next day.

Resume and Export Limits

  • FREE: 1 resume, unlimited edits, 10 PDF downloads per month
  • 7-Day Pass: Unlimited resumes, unlimited PDF downloads during active period
  • Lifetime: Unlimited resumes, unlimited PDF downloads

Fair Use Enforcement

We monitor usage patterns to detect abuse. "Excessive use" includes but is not limited to:

  • Creating more than 50 unique resumes per day
  • Downloading more than 100 PDFs per day
  • Automated or scripted access to the Service
  • Generating content with substantially different personal information (indicating use for multiple people)
  • Using the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users

Throttling and Suspension

If we detect patterns consistent with excessive use or commercial misuse, we may: (a) temporarily throttle your access; (b) require verification of legitimate personal use; (c) suspend your account pending investigation; or (d) terminate your account if abuse is confirmed. We will attempt to notify you before taking action unless immediate suspension is required for security or fraud prevention.

12. Termination and Account Suspension

Grounds for Termination

We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account, revoke all access (including Lifetime benefits), and withhold refunds if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service, especially Commercial Use or Fair Use policies
  • Your payment fails, is disputed, or results in chargebacks
  • You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal behavior
  • You use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
  • You share your account, credentials, or access with third parties
  • You exceed fair use limits or engage in abusive usage patterns
  • Required by law or to comply with legal process

Notice and Appeals

Where feasible, we will provide notice and the reason for suspension or termination. If you believe your account was terminated in error, you may appeal by emailing support@resumi.my within 14 days with evidence supporting your claim. We will review appeals on a case-by-case basis but decisions are final and at our sole discretion.

Data Export and Retention

Upon termination for reasons other than fraud or abuse, we will provide a 30-day window to export your resume data. Accounts terminated for fraud, commercial misuse, or severe violations will have immediate data export disabled. Payment and transaction records will be retained for 7 years as required by Malaysian tax law.

Voluntary Cancellation

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us at support@resumi.my. Lifetime access will remain available but unused portion of 7-Day Pass is non-refundable unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy.

13. Force Majeure and Third-Party Services

TANJAKSOFT SOLUTIONS shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Third-Party Service Failures: Outages, interruptions, or changes to OpenAI API, Stripe payment services, AWS S3 storage, Vercel hosting, or any other third-party services we rely on
  • Infrastructure Issues: Internet service disruptions, DNS failures, server outages, or network problems
  • Natural Disasters: Earthquakes, floods, fires, pandemics, or other acts of God
  • Government Actions: Laws, regulations, or government orders affecting our ability to provide services
  • Cyber Attacks: DDoS attacks, hacking attempts, or security breaches beyond our security measures
  • API Rate Limits: Restrictions imposed by OpenAI or other service providers on API usage

In the event of force majeure lasting more than 7 consecutive days, you may request a pro-rata refund for unused time on 7-Day Pass subscriptions. Lifetime subscriptions are not eligible for refunds due to temporary service interruptions.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through our service. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Informal Resolution

Before pursuing any legal action, you agree to first contact us at support@resumi.my to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will work in good faith to resolve your concerns within 30 days.

Mediation

If informal resolution fails, both parties agree to participate in good faith mediation before initiating litigation. Mediation shall be conducted in Malaysia, with costs split equally between parties. Each party bears its own legal fees during mediation.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings that cannot be resolved through mediation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. You irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Limitation Period

Any claim or cause of action arising from these Terms or your use of the service must be filed within ONE (1) YEAR after the claim or cause of action arose. After this period, such claims are permanently barred.
